Dr. Rea is a board-certified orthodontist, meaning she has completed rigorous written and clinical board examinations to further demonstrate her expertise and commitment to high standards of care.

  • The American Association of Orthodontists suggests children should have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. This early visit allows us to monitor the development of their adult teeth and growth patterns. In some cases, early intervention may be necessary to address crowding, to prevent teeth from becoming impacted, to eliminate cross bites, or to correct aberrant growth patterns.

  • Treatment length depends on the complexity of your orthodontic treatment needs. Treatment times typically range anywhere from 6-30 months.

  • NO! No referral is needed to schedule a complimentary consultation at our office. If orthodontic treatment is recommended, we require a recent (within 6 months) cleaning and exam by a licensed dentist. All restorative treatment (fillings, etc) should also be completed prior to starting treatment.

  • Yes! It is important to maintain regular cleanings and exams throughout your orthodontic treatment.

  • In most instances, a broken bracket does not require an emergency visit. Exceptions: if you have a pokey wire or we are near the end of treatment and have asked you to let us know ASAP if you have a broken bracket.

  • Please contact our office immediately to order new retainers. Your teeth will move If you do not wear your retainers regularly. Additional fees apply.
